Hi, I’m Sarah
I am a marketer and an author, both published and self-published. Content and Social Media for small business is my obsession.
I train, consult with and mentor small business owners to navigate the social media world, getting their business seen by their next customers, all while KEEPING IT SIMPLE!
There’s a lot of jargon out there. And there are a lot of myths too. So l’m here to show you that it’s not as bad as it first looks; with simple how-to training and a bit of morale-boosting too. I know it’s tough on your own – I’ve been there!
My fascination with small business marketing began about six years ago with my short foray into the world of network marketing, selling health and weight-loss products. Although recruiting and selling in this way really wasn’t my passion, I learned absolutely loads about social media and content marketing. And so my new passion was born.
I ditched the health products and took tons of online training from some of the marketing greats; Michelle Pescosolido, Ray Higdon, and Brendon Burchard.
All this was during my time at Uni while I was studying Cognitive Neuroscience and writing my first book, The Musings of an Elective Orphan. Trying the self-published ‘indie author’ thing gave me my next marketing project. I became obsessed with getting exposure for my writing; both my book and my blog.
I have been both at the top and at the bottom of the Amazon charts. I learned two things from this:
- The height that your book gets to in the charts is directly correlated with how hard and how smart you market your work.
- The bottom of the charts is where author’s dreams go to die. I know that feeling, and this is what motivated me to motivate others.
Later on I worked for a London-based Life Coaching School as their Marketing Manager, while also taking the training myself. I have a deep understanding of the coaching industry, and for this reason, many of my clients are coaches.
I’m familiar with the business struggles that new coaches face, and I’m absolutely here to help.
No jargon or complicated tricks
I have one rule – keep it SIMPLE!
I promise, marketing is not the big scary monster that you might imagine it to be. It’s just your ‘unknown’ right now. And us humans fear the unknown.
So let me introduce you to marketing gently. Get to know it, and that big scary monster will turn into a purring kitten in no time.
